Supply and demand planning specialist

Job Description:

• Maintain accurate shipment forecast and execute truck sizing of orders to be loaded
• Conduct order reconciliations with the vendor base to ensure accuracy and timeliness of order delivery
• Liaison with demand planning personnel to reconcile issues regarding data discrepancies in orders to maintain proper open order tracking, loading, shipping/receiving and inventory accounting
• Provide the sales force with responses to inquiries concerning product availability and anticipated delivery dates
• Perform duties associated with the loading of new vendor products into the inventory and fulfillment database
• Monitor all pertinent stocked item information and maintain accurate database records relative to item classification to facilitate proper disposition of items throughout their lifecycle
• Continually monitor vendor programs, information and order cycles and conduct sub-vendor maintenance within fulfillment software and make necessary updates and corrections as required
• Manage promotion and show demand activities to ensure they are recorded correctly in databases
• Work with customers / sales partners to understand customer status / needs, including engaging in partnerships & identifying opportunities for improvement
• Work with Merchants and Management to establish and maintain fill rate targets by vendor, program, item, etc.
