Head of Design Coordination

The Head of Design Coordination is responsible for leading the design coordination process across multiple projects, ensuring that all design disciplines (architectural, structural, MEP, interior, etc.) are fully integrated, aligned with project requirements, and delivered on time and within budget. This role acts as the main liaison between consultants, contractors, and internal teams to drive design quality and project success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the design coordination process from concept to construction across all project stages.
• Manage and coordinate all design consultants and internal design teams, ensuring alignment with project objectives, timelines, and budget.
• Review and validate design packages for completeness, compliance with regulations, and alignment with project goals.
• Identify and resolve design conflicts between various disciplines (architectural, structural, MEP, etc.) in a timely manner.
• Facilitate regular design coordination meetings, preparing and managing meeting agendas, minutes, and action items.
• Work closely with the construction, procurement, and project management teams to ensure that the design supports buildability and value engineering initiatives.
• Establish and maintain design standards, quality control measures, and coordination procedures.
• Serve as the main point of contact for all design-related matters, both internally and externally.
• Track design deliverables, milestones, and approvals to ensure timely progression of projects.
• Proactively manage risks related to design and coordination to avoid delays or cost overruns.
• Lead design change management processes, including documentation and impact assessments.
• Mentor and guide the internal design coordination team to build a high-performing unit.
