Required skills:

Study: Bachelor or master degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or Statistics.
Experience: minimum 2-3 years.
Knowledge (language, programs, etc.): Fluent in Azerbaijani and English skills, Russian is preferrable.
Technical skills: advanced use of MS Office, Power BI, SQL, Python and related tools.

Special Skills (speech, analytical thinking etc.):

Theoretical knowledge of generally accepted principles and rules of accounting, international financial management and economic principles;
Proven logical, analytical and financial modeling skills;
Negotiation skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships;
Accuracy, attentiveness, planning and organizational skills.

Personal qualities (stress-resistant, etc.): Stress-resistant, teamwork skills, presentation skills, strong self-discipline and deadline culture, knowledge of corporate finance, information analysis and financial diagnosis.

Additional notes: Candidates with ACCA, CFA or experience in the insurance industry will be preferred.

Financial Analyst Roles & Responsibilities:

Direct participation in the preparation of monthly corporate reports ("Management Report") and semi-annual and annual financial statements of the Company's International Financial Reporting Standards ("IFRS");
Organize data into accessible reports and perform various types of analysis using key metrics such as yearly growth, return on assets, return on equity and other insurance related analysis.
Identifying financial performance trends and financial risk, and making recommendations.
Study a company’s data to give advice for guiding business and overall financial strategy.
Contributes to the development of the internal reporting system using business intelligence solutions and to support the continuous improvement of the process.

Other Responsibilities

Direct participation in the development of software for the activity directions and automation of the relevant processes;
Participate in the analysis of the financial condition of the insurance portfolio;
Participate in the provision of external information;
Other tasks assigned by the direct supervisor (financial analysis, data collection, etc.).
