Accountant

Reports to Senior Accountant / Head of Finance

Position summary

• The Accountant  will report to the Senior Accountant / Head of Finance and assist all accounting staff in the day-to-day functions of the finance department

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day operations of the Finance department, including filing, report generation, budget review, etc.
• Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
• Provide assistance to prepare profit and loss accounts sheets
• Provide assistance to prepare financial statements according to company policies
• Processing payments and invoices accurately and timely as per company procedures
• Prepare financial documents such as invoices, bills and etc
• Prepare period end journals for prepayments, accruals, commission payments and etc
• Perform journal entries as per established and statutory accounting standards
• Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas
