Accounting Specialist

IMPERIAL LOGISTICS, is fast growing freight forwarding company in the International Logistics company, is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented “Accounting Specialist” to optimize our daily logistics operations. Logistics accounting involves tracking and managing the financial aspects of logistics operations. 

Main responsibilities:

• Monitoring costs related to transportation, warehousing, inventory management and logistics operations.
• Preparing and managing budgets for logistics departments, ensuring that expenses align with financial goals.
• Handling billing and invoicing related to logistics services, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
• Generating financial reports that provide insights into logistics costs, performance metrics and profit margins.
• Assessing the value of inventory to determine carrying costs and improve financial planning.
• Ensuring that all accounting practices comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Analyzing cost data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost reduction.
• Reviewing contracts with suppliers, carriers, and service providers to ensure financial compliance and adherence to terms.
• Working closely with operations, procurement, and finance teams to ensure accuracy in reporting and forecasts.
• Monitoring logistics performance metrics and assessing the financial impact of logistics activities.
• Communicating logistics financial data and insights to management and other stakeholders for informed decision-making.
• Identifying financial risks in logistics operations and implementing strategies to mitigate those risks.

Working conditions: 

• Location: Baku city;
• Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5 working days per week;
• Working hours: 10:00 - 19:00;
• Lunch time in the office – 1 hour
• Sector: International Logistics of Containers from Country to Country.
